One for you, Two for me

We were able to escape our week of colds and allergies the other day for some fun strawberry picking.  Twila reminded me before we left that even though she was excited, her teacher told her we only pick weeds.  So after a nice discussion about what's okay to pick and what's not okay to pick, when and where, that sort of thing we visited a farm close-by.

The hot weather has offered us an early, extra tasty harvest.  The berries were some of the most delicious I have eaten - like the farmer's used sugar instead of dirt!  I kept thinking of that Looney Tunes episode in which Sylvester and his son sit across from each other in a garbage dump...  Sylvester is handing one fish bone to his son while saying, "One for you".  Then he puts two on his own plate, "Two for me."

One for you, two for me.  One for you, three for me...  They were that good.

{In case you haven't seen it, enjoy...}

I'm so glad someone is going strawberry picking. We have a farm close to our house and I keep telling my husband that when baby girl arrives, we are so doing that! Not that I can't do it myself, but it'll be more entertaining with baby in tow.
