This is it!

We have been moving a lot over the last week or so and this weekend the last of it will go.  So in the words of Mr. Jack Bauer, this weekend, we are "going dark".  Tonight the computer will be shut and moved and it will probably get a nice long sleep before it's set up again.  The time for projects and photos has been put on hold and the transition of our new home has begun.  Thanks to everyone who has sent us sweet wishes for the move and the new home.  We really do appreciate it. 

To my family and friends that think I may be ignoring you: it's busy here.  You know, the usual moving stuff- unforeseen repairs, trips back and forth, and with the baby, things are a little differently paced at times.  I have been spending some time trying to make Twila's space a little more comfortable so that when she visits the new house she sees her familiar toys, feels comfortable...it must all be a little strange.  Here are some images from last night.  I had spent the day unpacking and cleaning and then she came upstairs and saw her room.  First, she saw some mostly empty bins that had been in the closet of our last house.  She was ecstatic.  She was looking and squealing at the empty bins like they were the best thing on the planet. 

"Ohhh, I love them Mama!  Thank you for bringing them here!  That was nice.  Ooooo, they're so pretty in this corner..." { I love her.} 

 "Thank you", I said.  I'm so glad you like them...and they're even empty.  Have you looked in the closet yet?"  Then it was Christmas all over again.  She spotted all her old friends that have been packed in hiding for weeks. 

"Black kitty?!  Ohhhh, I loooove black kitty AND THIS!  I love this!!  LOOK!!" she said pointing as she walked around seeing all the toys.  She stared up at the shelf back and forth, back and forth...  She went on and on giving hugs and saying hi to all the toys.  It was the best and it made me hopeful that the transition will be okay, good even.  It's an exciting time...
